Sweetheart Soiree: Spend A Night In Dreamland

Saturday, February 15th is the perfect day to go out dancing. Sure, the night before was V-Day, but if you’re smart, you stayed home and skipped the prix fixe, waited for bouquet prices to come back down to reasonable levels, and are ready to get out in between winter storms in New York City.

Join us at the Fifth Annual Sweetheart Soiree, a ball sure to dazzle the senses at the Norwood in Chelsea, a perfectly preserved, landmarked 1947 mansion and Victorian private club where you can enjoy a rare opportunity to experience this stylishly bohemian hideaway. According to the organizers, expect plenty of plush seating, artisanal French cocktails featuring St-Germain, and music from several live acts. Plus, get on the floor for dance lessons for both singles and doubles with “undeniably adorable Roddy Caravella”. We’re looking forward to the kissing booth, the three unique bars, and the complimentary gourmet hors d’oevres and sweet treats throughout the night.

Beginning at 9PM and running until 1 in the morning, this is a nearly sold-out black tie event from the group behind the incredible Jazz Age event that takes place each summer. The musical acts expected for the evening include:

  • Michael Arenella and his Dreamland Orchestra, host and bandleader
  • Nicole Renaud, accordionist and chanteuse
  • Jazz royalty, Queen Esther and trio
  • Tap-dance darlings The Minksy Sisters

A few tickets were still available at press time, with admission to The Sweetheart Soiree running $75. Hope to see you there!
